A range of Trimble® RTX™ correction services can now be used with Trimble Geo 7 series handhelds with cellular connection, providing mapping professionals more ways to achieve improved accuracy in real time.

Trimble RTX over cellular connection works worldwide and delivers real-time 4 cm, 30 cm and 50 cm horizontal corrections without the need for a base station or VRS™ network. This removes the burden of infrastructure for users and eliminates the complexities of managing multiple correction sources across a large geographically dispersed project or organization.

Cellular delivered RTX correction services are ideal for users who:

  • Require real-time corrections/high accuracy without waiting for postprocessing
  • Are in regions with cellular access, but without access to VRS correction sources or ground-based infrastructure
  • Operate over larger geographic areas than available VRS or ground-based infrastructure coverage
  • Are without access to SBAS corrections

Availability
Trimble RTX over cellular connection services—Trimble CenterPoint® RTX, Trimble RangePoint™ RTX, and Trimble ViewPoint RTX—can be ordered as an annual subscription by late November 2014.

RTX functionality will be supported by Trimble TerraFlex, Trimble TerraSync™, and Trimble Positions software. The full software solutions will be released by 15 December 2014.
