Does the current government shutdown have you singing the OPUS blues? Due to this shutdown, the NGS website and OPUS are currently shut down and not accessible. However, know that Frontier Precision and Trimble have your back! As a comparable alternative to OPUS, users can utilize Trimble’s RTX Post-processing Service free of charge. This solution works very similar to OPUS, and processes your data with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS. It allows users to choose any coordinate system and not be stuck with using only NAD83 (2011) EPOCH 2010.00, and allows for raw Trimble receiver files, so there is no need to convert to RINEX.
The accuracy of the returned solutions have been tested by us, and throughout our region, they compare right along with the solutions from OPUS. The best part is, you also receive an XML output that can be imported directly into Trimble Business Center.
So don’t let this shutdown of the government shutdown your field operations. If you have any question on using this service, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
