Description
Battery-powered 33 kHz Transmitter Sonde for Utility and Crawler Locating
- Up to 8 Hours Battery Life
- 15′ (4.5 M) Range
A sonde is a self-contained, battery-powered transmitter used to locate and trace non-conductive pipes and ducts such as sewers. The sonde connects to the crawler and is powered by 2 button cell batteries for up to 10 hours.
This is a useful add-on in situations where you need to track the location of the crawler, due to inaccurate or non-existent utility drawings and need to identify where you need to excavate or perform a point repair.
The sonde will transmit the signal, which you can then drive a utility locator to track the signal as you operate the crawler.
