Did you know that Trimble has a free online tool to help you plan your GNSS data collection efforts? GNSS Planning Online will help you find the best period of time to hit the field.
1.) Indicate your location. Pick it from the map or type in its known coordinates.
2.) Select the date, time and duration of your mapping efforts.
3.) Select the constellations of satellites used by your receiver.
Once your information is entered into the software, you can check all available views to find the best time interval that provides:
- Maximum count of visible satellites from your location
- Best satellite geometry (minimum DOP values)
- Best ionosphere conditions (minimum TEC)
