DAY 1 | Wednesday, March 13th

Using TerraSync and Pathfinder Office to get Data into ArcGIS

Designed for new or experienced TerraSync users looking for streamlined workflows to move field data into GIS.

03/13 | Course Objectives:

  • Quick Review of the Basics
    • Data Dictionaries
    • Data Collection in TerraSync
    • Post-processing with PFO
    • Export to Shapefile or File Geodatabase
  • Now what? Getting Data into ArcGIS
    • The Importance of Matching the Schema from the DDF to the Geodatabase
    • Export Shapefile or File Geodatabase…Pros & Cons
    • Import Shapefiles into Geodatabase
    • Append Feature Classes to Existing Geodatabase
    • Automating the Process with Modeling

* Can be taken as a standalone class or taken along with Day 2 for those looking to move their workflows into the future.

DAY 2 | Thursday, March 14th

Migrating Workflows to Trimble Positions and/or TerraFlex

Designed for existing users of TerraSync or ArcPad software looking to move to Trimble Positions and/or TerraFlex software and workflows. This class will provide an in-depth comparison of workflows and provide actionable steps to migrate workflows.

  • Comparison of Workflows
    • Trimble Pathfinder Office vs. Trimble Positions
    • Trimble TerraSync vs. Trimble TerraFlex
  • Create a Geodatabase from a Data Dictionary
  • Trimble Positions with TerraSync Workflow
    • Set up Project for High Accuracy
    • Take Existing Data to the Field for Update
    • Processing Data with Trimble Positions
  • Trimble Positions with TerraFlex Workflow
    • Creating Templates from your Geodatabase
    • Take Existing Data to the Field for Update
    • Processing Data with Trimble Positions

* Can be taken as a standalone class or along with Day 1 for the full range of TerraSync options.

SESSION DETAILS:

TIME: Doors Open at 8:00 a.m. | Classes Start at 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. / Each Day

COST: $375 per day or $700 for two days. / Per Student

DURATION: 1 or 2-Days
