We’re excited to release a new version of FieldSeeker Windows ULV that has a couple of important new features and a variety of quality improvements.  The main things in this version are support for metric units, color changes for consistency with Frontier’s FieldSeeker branding, refinements to the Sketch Treatment Area workflow, and symbology display for Restricted Areas with the “Do Not Spray” flag on as a different color.  Otherwise, this is a quality improvement release with a variety of enhancements and corrections based on customer feedback.

Metric Support

We’ve added metric units support for customers outside of the US.  During install, the user is prompted to select US or Metric units (this cannot be changed after installation).  If metric units are selected, all displays, configurations, calculations, and reports are presented accordingly.

Frontier Color Scheme

We’ve made changes throughout the app to be consistent with the color scheme and branding for FieldSeeker Core and Frontier Precision.

We know color and style changes don’t necessarily impress everyone, but we think you’ll like the new look and feel.

Other Quality Improvements

We added a Map Legend which helps explain what users see in the map.

We also improved our Sketch workflow in the mobile software to make more sense in the context of drawing treatment areas or treatment lines.  And, we made a variety of other quality improvements to import, Esri feature service push, data processing, and drawing restricted areas and map areas on the mobile software, based on customer feedback.  See our Release Notes for more information.

How to Get the New Version

To make support updates and the delivery of new features easier for us and for you, we built auto-update into both the ULV Office and ULV Mobile software.  If you already have the software installed, simply Check for Updates.
