This week at Intergeo, Trimble proved that they are the world leader in GNSS technology with the introduction of the Trimble R10 GNSS receiver.  The first of its kind, the revolutionary Trimble R10 GNSS system is designed to help you work more effectively, no matter how extreme the environment. Combined with Trimble Access 2012.20 and the TSC3, the Trimble R10 is the most powerful solution available on the market today, representing a new era in GNSS surveying.  It is packed with 30+ new features and is 40% smaller, and 30% lighter than previous Trimble receivers. It also comes with a 2W internal UHF transmitting radio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4GB internal memory, and a long-life smart battery, as well as having a web UI that is accessible via smart phone or PC, and can act as an internet access point. The Trimble R10 is also loaded with new technology like HD-GNSS, SurePoint™, xFill™, and Trimble 360 technology.

HD-GNSS is the next generation of processing technology for precise GNSS positioning that surpasses the older fixed/float technique. It allows precision-based measurements, allows you to start measuring sooner, have shorter occupation times, and gives you the ability to measure with confidence in more challenging environments.

Trimble SurePoint™ is an integrated tilt sensor that enables faster measurements, increased accuracy and greater quality control. Along with Trimble Access version 2012.20, the surveyor can utilize the eBubble, which means all measurement information is in the same place. This guards against erroneous measurements due to pole tilt, it allows you to measure faster with automatic point measurement/storage, and give you a new level of traceability in your survey data.

Trimble xFill™ technology allows you to continue surveying without interruption when you temporarily lose connection with your base station radio or VRS cellular network. You can continue surveying for up to five minutes without RTK communications. This allows for more continuous surveying  and less downtime.

Trimble 360 is a powerful new tracking technology that is capable of supporting all existing and planned GNSS constellations and augmentation systems. It has an industry-leading 440  GNSS channel specification. More satellites means you can measure in more places. It also future proofs your investment.
